I did this hike in late March and the snow was still heavy especially at the higher elevations. It really should be done with snowshoes this time of year. I turned around after the last switchback because the snow was too heavy and there were some signs of small, yet recent, avalanches over the trail. At least I avoided the 4x4 traffic. Stunning views.

Beautiful. Words and pictures serve no justice. Worth the hike if you are doubting yourself. Bring snacks and water.

Cool hike up to power plant. There wasn’t much water going through the falls but a great hike. We ended up continuing our hike up to Blue lake. An amazing hike. 16 mi round trip from downtown telluride

Started in the valley so walked the switchbacks to get to the start of the hike. Beautiful wildflowers.

each switchback gives you a bigger and better vantage point of the town and the falls. if you're planning on driving, make sure your vehicle as AWD or 4x4. it is not for low clearance cars. great views

Stunning views but the car traffic on the road (aka hiking path) was really distracting. Tons of cars even on a Wednesday mid-morning. I will drive to the top then hike from the falls to the lakes next time.

Great 1st day hike if you're a flatlander like me. Gives you a chance to acclimate to the altitude and get your climbing legs under you before you tackle some of the harder trails if that's what you plan to do. About 2.5 miles going up. Views are worth the effort.

Hiking on a gravel road (4WD cars only). There's plenty of parking spots in the morning. I hiked from the town so it was 7.2 miles. A great and easy hike. If you want to continue, you can hike to Blue Lakes.

Just a hike up a 4WD road - scenes of telluride the entire way up and the falls are really pretty. You can actually drive up to the top of the falls if you want to avoid the hike.

Ton of car traffic and hikers later in the day... be sure to get an early start.

Trail is a road. Beautiful view of the falls and back down to the valley. Apparently you can hike on to Blue Lake, but not marked

Really enjoyed this hike up to the top of bridal veil falls. Lush greenery, wildflowers, and amazing views of the falls and the valley with Telluride down below framed perfectly by the mountains and green hillsides. The reason for 4 stars is this whole hike is on a dirt/rocky road which was pretty busy with lots of cars on our way up but super quiet on the way down so depends on time of day I guess but you may be getting some car fumes at times. The falls are beautiful from bottom to top. If you're going to do only one of the in-town waterfall hikes of telluride I'd say hike to bear creek falls which is epic and drive up to bridal veil falls but both hikes are great.
