Didn't actually find the foot-trailhead shown on the map. From where we were on the map it appeared to go onto private property up a plastic irrigation ditch (right as you pass some abandoned mining structures). We ended up just following the 4x4 road for another 2 miles which was a relatively boring hike but you reach the arapaho forest and there are backcountry camp sites around and I'm sure some interesting features to see in the area.

Fairly easy until the last mile when you gain in elevation.

This trail is absolutely beautiful in the fall. Definitely worth checking out. Honestly, it's and easy moderate, only picking up elevation near the end.
