Great views of Boulder while ascending Flagstaff by car to get to the trailhead. Mays point has unbelievable views and is the pinnacle of the short route. After you have reached Mays point you can travel back the way you came or continue on the loop. If I were to do the hike again, I would definitely head back the way I came (better views and better path). If you take the loop you, can end early by cutting left up the road back to parking (rather than taking the path into the valley which you will then need to ascend back UP to the parking). We saw others in the parking lot but didn't pass by anyone on the trail on a Wednesday afternoon.

Tons of rattlesnakes! The hike was not challenging but there were some pretty good views of Boulder if you are brave enough to venture out into the brush. Overall, I give it 3/5.

Trail is awesome and offers a wide array of elevation. Enough shade to do on a hot day with awesome views of city and mountains.

Maybe my favorite “easy” trail. May’s Point offers some spectacular views- be sure to climb up the rocks! Parts of Boy Scout Trail had some incline and rocky parts, but I felt this made the trail more interesting and fun. Well shaded, quite accessible, and easy to follow. We saw 3 deer as well, and that was neat.

Great views for such a short hike. I would rate this as a moderate though. There are a lot climbs/descents over the 1.5 miles it can be tough for those visiting from sea level.

Lovely foothills loop with great views west of the Rockies at Mays Point and then it’s forested the rest of the loop. No dogs allowed on the boyscout section.

I’ve never had this issue with an All Trails trail before. We followed exactly where the trail was to be and it was not there. We wandered around and finally picked it up. Looks like some work needs to be done on this one

Nice easy trail on top of Flagstaff that leads you back to the parking lot at the top of Flagstaff Summit Rd. Could be considered a loop if you just walk back along the road to where you started. Sometimes Flagstaff Summit Rd is closed so you will have to park further down and walk up the road to the trailhead. That is harder than Boy Scout Trail itself.
