Very pleasant trail. Go early as north part of trail is exposed.

Easy, well maintained. Very peaceful. I was alone 99% of the time. Be aware storms roll in late afternoon almost everyday and the temperatures can change quickly (it dropped 35 degrees from the beginning the of my hike to the end). I did this as a part of a longer hike (Geologic->Hornbeck->Boulder->Hans->Sawmill).

Easy hike through a meadow and the woods. There is a per person fee of 7.00, so check into a pass of some type.

Very easy, wide open, and beautiful trail. Lots of great views of the Peak with some pretty sprawling meadows. After you reach the Boulder pile and creek, the trail climbs into the forest so a variety of terrain to explore on this trail. We were able to do this trail with 4 children under 6 years old, so very family friendly. Be aware that there is a $5 PER PERSON entry fee for this area for anyone over 15 years old.

Be sure and look for the Indian prayer trees. Great trail with lots of features including a boulder field.

lots of cool secret safe caves for the kids to explore in the boulders. We saw and heard a hundred or more elk. the bugle of an elk sounds like something prehistoric.

Our family had a great time doing this loop. There are some great mountian views and tons of wild flowers and vegetation when we went in late June. We spent 30-45 minutes exploring and climbing on the boulders that are half way through the loop.

Fun family trail. Boulders over the creek at the mid point are great for the kids to play on and around. There are several nooks and crannies they can crawl into. The leaves were great the first time we did this trail. A definate must for kids who like to explore. Our daughters, 4 and 10, could have spent all day in the rocks.

Nice trail through woods; I found some beautiful columbines growing. Leads to some boulders. Nice quiet trail.
