This trail climbs through a beautiful forest, following the East Fork of the Dolores River. After 6 miles, you reach Bolam Pass and the Colorado Trail. Turn around here, or pick up the Colorado Trail to continue on towards Durango. The view on this trail are not amazing because of the dense forest. However, the trail crosses several spectacular meadows with excellent wildflower viewing opportunities.
