Overall good. There are a lot of bikers on it and in many cases the trails were not very wide. Could be for beginners though intermediate would be better.

Turns out despite the info on this page that states dogs are allowed on leash, we were not able to do this trial since we got there and were told no dogs allowed!! Hopefully someone can update that info for future hikers!

We're first time mountain bikers. Everything we read about Bluffs loop stated it was a beginner/moderate trail. My opinion for first time riders.. it was difficult. We made it but made frequent stops along the way. Few spots with rocks, single track with no roots. The view is beautiful well worth the ride.

First of all the trail head was hard to find. Very busy area (sports complex) and no signs. It's back behind the rodeo area by the stables. The trail is mostly a bike trail. In some places it's only 9 inches wide with waist high weeds on either side (check for ticks when you get home) so it's hard to walk on. On the other hand it's fairly smooth with few rocks or roots. There are a lot of narrow bike trails on the Mtn which criss cross and the signage is poor. On the plus side the views were magnificent. We got a lot of good pics.

Definitely a nice hike for beginners and beyond. The trail was easy to follow and very open - no trees really. The view was beautiful and we saw some wild flowers along the way. We hiked but saw some mountain bikers too who were looping on our trail as well as the cross country ski trails that connect to it.

It's a good trail for all abilities near the bottom of Emerald Mountain. It can be done alone or in conjunction with many other trails on the way up or down.
