The road to the trailhead can be difficult for 2WD vehicles. This hike is almost entirely on a gravel road.

The trail to the waterfall is mostly all a road. Fun short walk/hike for kids. Beautiful views.

Easy hike around the lake and up to see an amazing waterfall.

Views are hard to beat! A few sections where you have to navigate through large rocks, which made it a little s difficult for some in the group.

Easy and fun hike, a good first hike of the trip for us midwesterners. The drive up was a little tricky in a small car due to the rocky road, but it was definitely still doable.

This was one of my favorite trails I have done in Colorado. Amazing views, easy to find, and a great walk. I agree with the reviews below; keep taking the gravel road until you get to the Lake and once you’re one the trail and you get to the bathtub, keep following the trail that is no longer gravel so you can see the waterfall up close. Once we finished at the lake we drove further up to the dam. More small trails in the other side of the dam. I highly recommend!

Loved the views. The lake is gorgeous and the hike is easy. We took the gravel road up a little farther to the reservoir as well and saw a couple mountain goats

This was a great, very short, very easy hike. Although if you do this one, I recommend you go right on past the gravel roundabout with the old bathtub, and keep going up the trail to the waterfall edge. There were some great views and it didn’t add much distance. We did particularly like the class that the pink flamingo floaty added to the ambiance.

You need an suv or 4wd for this. Drove all the way up there and couldn’t get to it
