This is a beautiful trail ride (on horses) or hike for the hardy. There is no trail to follow, so take along a good GPS and follow the waypoints. Be prepared for a lot of bushwhacking between thick forest with many downed trees. In late July we saw a herd of about 100 beautiful elk. The views from the top and from many points along the ride are amazing. There are frequent thunderstorms in this area in the summer, so plan carefully and be prepared!
