I went early May with my buddy and his dog. We entered on the southern side of Bison Peak and took the loop west and north. We didnt make it as far as we planned due to snow but it is a beautiful area with some swamp-like areas on the west side. The views from the below looking up towards Bison peak are awesome. I want to go back again mid/late summer to experience it without snow and to actually make it to Bison Peak. Snow at that time of year began around 9700 feet.
