Came to this trail after limited parking at Cow’s Creek had us scrambling for a backup plan. Decided to hike west vs north toward Gem Lake based on suggestions from VERY helpful Rangers on site. Parking is limited but you can park along the road and hike in to trailhead. Nice workout; hiked in about 3 miles and watched several climbers’ ascents on open rock faces along the trail (some closed til end of July due to raptor nesting!). Great birdlife, phenomenal views and minimal traffic.

Did this one in the snow near the end February. So beautiful to see the mountains throughout. Highly recommend. Not too difficult.

The directions to the trailhead posted by all trails are incorrect. Those are directions to the Black Canyon Trail in Gunnison National Park not RMNP

Awesome. The views of Longs Peak, Twin Sisters and many other peaks in Rocky Mountain Natl. Park are incredible. It's fairly flat and a great hike for those that don't want to climb too much.
