Bible Point is a 1.3 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Estes Park, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from May until October.
Located just outside of RMNP in the YMCA of the Rockies, the trail starts at the YMCA livery at the Glacier Creek TH that heads to the Glacier Basin campground. There is a sign where you break away from the Glacier Creek trail to Bible Point. At about .6 miles, there is a sharp left hand turn that heads straight up the mountain side. Look for cairns. At the top is the grave of 18 year old Edwin Bradt. To find out more about Edwin and Bible Point check out here: http://blog.ymcarockies.org/2010/06/28/bible-point/ Nice views of the large Y grounds and on to Estes Park. Look for the mailbox beyond the grave for even better views all around. This is a short, but sometimes steep, hike.
This hike starts off very easy, but starts the incline when you turn off Glacier Creek Trail. Be on the lookout for a sharp left hand turn straight up around .6 miles in. We missed it the first time and needed to backtrack.
