Nice trail, was completely snowpacked today from the skiers (despite Denver being close to 80 degrees). We made it about 2.5 miles in before we had a dog meltdown due to snowballs in the toe fur. But it is definitely a trail we will return to in the warmer months.

Trail head name is Coney Flats. Trail is popular with 4WD & ATVs.
Really beautiful, dense forest. Lots of mini ponds, and small water holes on the trail.
Download map or print beforehand. Very limited cell service.

I tried to create a page for Coney Lake Trail, which is honestly THE reason for coming here. Not sure if it worked but the trail is amazing so check the link for more info. From Beaver Reservoir the trail is almost 9 miles out and back. One thing not included in any review or trail is getting to Upper Coney Lake. There is no trail but you can follow Coney Creek to get to it, and I would recommend it!!! Just be prepared to fight thick brush and get wet feet.
