If you get there by 8:30 there aren't as many people, but there are mountain bikers. we left by 10:30 and it was crazy! we hiked with a 3 year old and a toddler on the back.

As expected, dont go on a weekend. Trail overwhelmed with people. Easy, flat, pretty, didnt really get you anywhere.

Very crowded, lots of kids and dogs on trail. Plan to get out early

Very pretty and well maintained trial but not the ideal trail if you’re looking for a secluded hike. Very busy, especially with mountain bikers

Perfect trail for kids and dogs. It’s a quick 2 miles, along a creek the whole way. Lots of families picnicking, and a few good spots for your pup to swim. This seems to be a “starting out” trail for bikers, because not a single one of them had any trail etiquette, even though it was super busy.

Bit crowded but still a great hike. Lots of mountain bikers. Trail was in good condition.

Easy trail close to Denver. Would be good with parents. Mid-May hike meant dry trails and one spot where fording the stream might pose a small challenge for those unsteady on their feet. Otherwise a pleasant trail by a creek that's a pretty solid choice if you're not up for anything difficult.

Nice and dry. Little busy with mountain bikers. Panorama loop is a must for the views

A nice short trail. Completely flat with nice views of a creek the entire length of the trail. However, it was completely crowded. It took us almost 20 minutes to find parking at 9:45 a.m. Im assuming that after the qauarantine and when the neighboring red rocks open again that the crowds will die down but for the time being I would reccommend skipping this one if youre looking for solitude.

Great easy hike close to Denver. Lots of people, dogs, kids, and mtn bikers. Get there early it you want a parking spot, took a min to find one when we got there at 10am. Trail is completely clear and dry. Good hike today! Cheers! 4/5 stars bc of how busy it was.

The parking lot was pretty full on a Monday during quarantine, so we were weary. However, once we got on the trail there wasn’t that many people at all. The space out there is open enough with enough side trails that you can easily distance yourself from people. Awesome views and fun areas for the dogs.

Very easy flat trail along a beautiful peaceful creek. Dry conditions on 4/10.

Beautiful trail. Great pay off for a fairly easy hike. Pretty muddy but very manageable with our spikes

Great hike, went early with fresh snow, wasn't muddy until the end coming back. Recommend going down panaroma point and back up Bear Creek trail. I didn't and my legs were burnin! Was a lot busier when I finished around noon.

During coronavirus the first mile of this trail was packed with people, dogs, and kids- even on a Wednesday. Hard to maintain social distancing but tried. The back half was lovely, though definitely icy/slushy in places.

Ok for small kids but too congested, too muddy and flat. Would skip this one

Great trail, spikes helpful for the many snow patches. Hard to navigate the first part of the loop going out, couldn’t find the turn off, but was able to get up to panorama point on the way back as it’s marked further along the trail.

Great flat walk for families. Lots of spots to pull off and play in the creek. Nice mix of sun and shade. Some mountain bikers along trail but most were on the higher trail.

Nice little trail but too close to the road for me. Quite a bit of mud and slush today. The castle is a private home, so you can see it but not visit!

This was an extremely easy trail. Yes there was quite a bit of ice (1/30/2020), but manageable with some good hiking boots. The castle is cool especially with all the ice! I just wish you could actually walk through the property.
