Bear Creek Trail was a very nice hike and was very shady most of the time. Views are great and the hike is pretty secluded. This is a great hike to take kids as well as pets.

Great hike for families! We have a toddler so we had a stroller and the trail was wide enough the whole way. Get there early because by 830am the lot was full.

Very easy walk along the creek, but it is incredibly busy. It was nice to be able to stop and enjoy the creek if you could find anywhere that wasn't already occupied.

Did this one a while back in the fall and it was awesome. Such an easy stroll and I loved the changing leaves and creek alongside the trail. Great for all ages.

It's an easy trail however too many people and a decent amount of mountain bikers. I enjoy the stroll by the river but not enough for me to go back for seconds.

The hike is easy and the trail is very clean and obvious. Was hoping for something a bit more challenging. You can't walk around the "castle" or anything, so don't get your hopes up. Not a bad hike for families, I just had different expectations based off of some of the pictures.

An easy, family friendly hike, It follows the creek and you get to see a castle near the turnaround!

Short and super-easy. Not much scenery. Although good for little kids; the trail runs alongside the shallow creek with plenty of creek-stomping opportunities. One flat rock-scaling opportunity about 2/3 of the way through the out-trip. Cool private castle at the turnabout. Good picnicking sites. BTW, the first photo in the album is NOT from this hike.

Easy Family friendly hike.

Easy and quick hiking trail. Definitely recommend for families trying to get out of the house. Did a morning hike with my husband and son, there were a lot of people out but it wasn't overly crowded. Be mindful of bikers, there were plenty of them. Lots of places to have a picnic.

Did this trail today with a friend and her young dog. Lovely scenery, great for all skill levels, moderately busy on the weekdays, but I could see it getting too crowded during the weekends. I noticed many silent bikers, so be mindful of them.
