The trailhead is on the side of the parking lot closest to the road. The Regional Trail is open to dogs, Nature Preserve trails are not. The part of the trail that has the “Hikers Only” sign really means nothing but bipeds. No dogs, horses, or bikes. The Hikers Only area is roughly 0.1 mile long, and is either at the beginning or the end of the trail. Depends on which way you go.
