Easy trail with nice scenery by a little river. Most of the trail is paved but there are parts of it that go down by the river which aren't well marked.

Lots of ducks floatin’ down stream. Most of the trail was paved. Seemed the trail wanted to take me behind some businesses; seemed sketch so I turned around back. Cool little openings along stream to let pup cool off.not my favorite but enjoyable. Probably won’t be back anytime soon

It was a sweet trail with some bits of ice on the path. Can wind through many smaller paths and get lost. A nice creek and a few frozen tiny ponds. It was a nice find amidst the city.

Fine if you’re in the neighborhood. Awkward section in rear parking lots of area businesses. Nice creek side wildlife.

I would recommend this trail for all skill levels including wheelchairs. It is paved with gentle slopes. There was moderate bicycle traffic on a Sunday but they were friendly and considerate. It took me less than 1.5 hours at a leisurely pace. The trail to the north has some beautifully shaded areas.

I decided the catch the Green Mountain Trail by parking at the Iron Springs Forsberg Park. There’s a tunnel that goes under Alameda Parkway from the park to the trail. Conditions overall were good. In light of recent rains, there were a few muddy spots. Rained off and on throughout my hike. Green Mountain Trail is moderate going up to the top. The Rooney Valley Trail has recently been updated and has many switchbacks and steep declines/inclines (depends if you’re going up or down) The mountain bikers do come down that trail fast so listen for them. Disregard my times - I like to stop to take in the views.

I took my yorkiepoo on a walk here and opted for the path along the creekside (unpaved). Mostly because the bikers were zinging by continually which I found annoying. I should have known better since he hasn’t had a haircut for spring/summer yet. He got covered from head to toe in these spiky burs that were an absolute nightmare to remove. They broke apart when trying to get them out of his fur and they had nearly microscopic needle points that stuck into you. I ended up with quite a few on me as well and they itched like crazy and I had to use fine tip tweezers to get out!!! I ended up having to shave the little guy, this ordeal took 2-3 hours to complete and multiple attempts. He was in no much pain it was horrific. Having ling to medium hair He always comes back with something in his fur grass, dirt, twigs, even other kinds of burs. But nothing like this.. beware!

Bad for around now. It is extremely icy this time (on Mar 10, 2019). It is an easy and safe trail only if there is no ice.

Love these paths. They branch off at multiple spots so lots of areas to explore. You can get views of the creek, large trees & views of the mountains from these paths.

I have cycled this trail many times. it follows Hampden from Bear Creek Park all the way to Santa Fe. If you ride westbound toward Bear Creek Park past the golf course, there's a lot of uphill. Most of the trail is shaded by trees and there's a nice sitting area by the Mexican hat park. This is an all-around good trail to ride or walk.

Nice that it is by a creek but most parts are by the freeway and behind homes and shopping centers. Some shady parts to chill.

3.5- Directions on All Trails does not lead to a parking lot or trailhead. Google Bear Creek Park instead. Paved walkway. Not a Loop. A LOT of bikers whizzing by which rarely ring bell or alert you. A few Benches but no trash cans unless you go a mile west to the playground. Homeless camping near creek. Not bad for a quick close one but I wouldn’t choose this again.

Easy quiet walk this morning! My dog loved walking along the creek. Paved paths and bridges so easy access from the road. Wished people cleaned up after their pets and themselves more but other than that I highly recommend for a morning walk
