HikingGreat!

An easy hike. ( A little harder if you start to the left.) A nice 2+ mile hike with good views near the top and on the way back (I’d started from the left). Ran into two people who saw a moose here the day before.

Great hike, not too hard but you feel it. Start by going left

Fun hike that is short but still gives some great views. As others have said, start on the left to get the heart pumping. Single lane trail until it opens up half way through. There is some parking off the road on the other side of the trial head.

great little hike. Easy but gets your heart beating. I would recommend starting out going left. That way you get the creek and wooded area first and it opens up into large views about half way through. The trail is half wooded and half open and it's beautiful.

Hardly anyone on the trail, so peaceful! Recommend starting on the left side so you are starting along the stream. Beautiful vista views

Easy trail, tool about an hour. Took my 9 month old son for his first hike and loved it. Saw a few foxes running around which was pretty cool!

Great hike! First half was more difficult than the last half, as it was mostly uphill and a single-person trail. On the second half of the loop, you follow a dirt road back. It was beautiful and doable with two kids (7 and 2.5).

The signs don’t lie! As soon as we parked a young bull moose was walking across the trail. Pretty easy trail to navigate. Would have been a 4 star hike but the moose topped it.

Nice day one acclimation hike. Observed one mountain biker from a distance as we branched off to Peaks Trail for a bit.

Nice, short hike with variety... open field with mountain range views, beautiful forest and a lovely creek! Saw only two other hikers on a Friday morning.

Creek view is nice! First 1/2 mile of you start left. A bit of incline going this way. I think I would start right & leave the steep part for going down. No traffic- passed 3 people. Bummed to see all the trees that the beetles have killed. Peaceful & quiet!

Very nice chill little loop. I clocked a little over 2.1 miles on Strava. Took me 38 mins. I ran a bit of it but also spent a few minutes wandering off trail in the meadow. The creek is very pretty and there are many wildflowers along the trail. The meadow is expansive and offers great views. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of so many cut down trees. It bums me out a bit.

We hiked this trail on our first day in Colorado. We went at 8:00 am had the hike to ourselves for most of the time. Only saw 2 bikers in the second half of the hike. It is a beautiful hike and not too difficult for us as we were still not use to the altitude. The second third of the hike you follow Barton Creek down the hill and it is just lovely. If you want to experience the creek first enter the trail on the path on the left. Then you will see the creek first. We saw great views and lovely wildflowers on our first half of the hike. Then as the hike progressed we went through some forested areas. I would highly recommend this hike to families!

Great trail to get used to the air here. Easy to follow, different terrain types, good for all skill sets. The trail head is not marked well and there is not much parking.

Great family hike. It has a little bit of everything from streams and logging teepees to meadows and great vistas.
