Avalanche Gulch via Main Range Trail is a 5.7 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Buena Vista, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from June until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

one of my favorite! Hard indeed. Very Beautiful .. Well, hard for me anyway

At the end of October there was 3-6 inches of snow on the upper part of the trail, but was still able to reach the pass. Nice views of the east side of Mt Yale.
