All in all a good trail. Easy to follow and clearly marked at intersections with out trails. Only came across one couple while hiking. I did more trails here then just this one and ended up being 7.7 miles long for me.

Public restrooms closed during pandemic. No fee, plenty of parking spots in the area if lot is full. At 8 AM on a Saturday in July, saw 2 people on the trail. Very flat and easy. Bugs were overwhelming, even with bugspray. Views were incredible. Drop-off with no railing at a few points. Beware if your dog can't stay on the trail, there are cacti absolutely everywhere (every 2 feet). Shade about half of the time. Saw a hummingbird, lizards, caterpillars...

Easy hike. But the drive from Denver down makes me hesitant to do it again.

Perfect trail for beginners. Few incline parts, gravel pretty well paved. I took my 4 year old niece with me and she did awesome on it. No traffic so that was very nice. Great scenery

Beautiful trail!! It is perfect for family and has a great view of the ridges. The nature that surrounds you is stunning!! A great number of cacti and a couple lizard friends keeping you company as you make it to the end. Unfortunately my recording didn’t record until we turned around at the end of the View trail.

This trail offered great views of the gorge throughout! There are a few points that you have to pay attention to the map due to a change in the trail (looks like a dirt road was built where the trail used to be). Overall easy to follow and a beautiful trail!

We went on 5/16/20 and trail not too busy but limited parking in the lot. We started the trail across from the parking lot as it is called “Canyon Rim Trail”. The trail is about 5 miles and fairly easy. Great views across the gorge. We ended up getting confused at the east side of the loop as it looked from the AllTrails map we were going off the path. So we took down a road that ended up meeting back with the trail.

Absolutely gorgeous!! The views of the gorge were incredible. I think we saw some mountain lion scat, super neat.

Beautiful!!! Got an awesome view of the Gorge. Felt like there was no need to actually pay to see it. It was an easy hike too.

Not as advertised. We were lured in with trail reviews stating "spectacular" and "epic" views. However, what we found was not worth wasting our phone batteries on taking pictures. This trail did not follow a "rim". It felt like like we were walking more inland than anything else. The best part of this trail was that we did not encounter any other hikers. If you really want to view the gorge, you will have to pay a steep $28/person to walk across the bridge, which we did not do. If you are trying to see the Gorge without paying to walk across it, google image search will suffice. If you want a hike with no shade cover and views of cacti, rocks, and juniper this is your trail. The overall feeling of this trail was "meh".

Enjoyed the trail. You do come across many beautiful views. Most of them are early on in the trail if you wanted to see some views but not commit to the entire trail. Trail is quite rocky in most places.

Nice views and a very easy hike. Very little elevation changes. Beautiful wild flowers. If it hadn’t been clear out, this would have been a boring hike, but views of the canyon down to the Arkansas made this much more enjoyable!

Easy with nice little ups and downs to keep you somewhat interested. Hardly any views of the canyon that we wanted or expected (from the name).

My husband and I and our Pup hiked this trail today and loved it. Such beautiful scenery and not too difficult. We did the Overlook Loop and part of Canyon Rim Trail. It was getting pretty hot so we didn't finish it because we weren't sure how far it went. I wish we knew the length of it. We'll definitely be back on a cooler day to find out.

Canyon trail extends to a great overlook called scenic trail/view. If you are looking to save some miles park at campground and take far out trail to scenic view. Overall wonderful hike, Colorado never fails to disappoint.
