Enjoyed this for a leisure hike. We went in the evening to peak at night and the night views and star gazing were really cool. The paths can be icy, especially at night. Avoided the crowds by going at night.

Been there a couple of times. I just love it. The trail seems a bit tiring for first 10-15 minutes. After that it’s all about enjoying, we didn’t feel tiring at all later.
Some parts of the trail was completely covered with snow and ice. Most of icy trails were okay to cross but some were extremely slippery and required proper gear. We forgot to carry ours, thus had to struggle on those parts but it made the hike adventurous.

nice. beautiful views.
windy at the top.

Started at 7am to beat the crowds (and get parking)! Hiked around to the back of the first flatiron to view the front range.

Easily accessible, fairly quick hike but good exercise, heavily trafficked so easy to feel safe if you are going on your own. Don’t be fooled by the false summit—keep going all the way to the top and the view of the front range.

Great hike! The incline is steep right off the bat, beautiful forest hike, great views of Indian Peaks from the top. Lots of folks on the trail. Beautiful!

Great hike. Rated as hard because of the rocky terrain and some mild scaling of rocks but well worth the view. Make sure to pack water as the incline is pretty steep.

Challenging hike for people not used to high altitude but well worth the workout and beautiful views. Hiking for a pay off

Beautiful views of the third Flatiron and a good, quick workout! It took us about 2 hours total including about 20 minutes of exploring and taking in the views. It was moderately trafficked for a weekday evening. Several climbers and trail runners taking advantage of the terrain. Will do again.

Tried to hike today but the trail is closed during the day Monday-Thursday for trail maintenance. I completely missed the signage until I got up to the trailhead. Make sure you go after 4:30 p.m. or on the weekends.

More moderate than hard in my opinion. Make sure you continue past the first flatiron. The view on the back side of the trail is amazing.

Fun hike with some rock scrambling and great views of boulder along the way and the Rockies. It was def hard for our east coast lungs, and lots of small rocks coming down. You’ll need good gripping shoes and make sure to keep going past the ridge and you’ll see an amazing view of the snow covered rocky mtns.

Parking area is too crowded. I used paid parking. Most of the trail is steep and rocky, make sure you have gripping shoes. It's kind of fun hike :)

Moderate hike with awesome views along the way. Make sure to keep going until you get to the other side of the ridge where you can look west to the Rockies!

We started this trail from the Chautauqua Park parking lot. It was heavily trafficked and the trail starts out paved. The higher you get the less people you’ll see. Beautiful views!
