Beautiful short trail for the family. Due to wash out from the King’s River, the meadow is closed to hikers.

Best view of the canyon from the meadow floor.

The bugs were so bad that it made it hard to enjoy the trail. The park ranger said big spray doesn’t work because they don’t land on you, they just swarm, so you need a head net. The bridge was out so only part of the trail was open.

Still closed. But worth the smaller hike to the meadows.

Half of the loop is closed due to storms washing out the boardwalk but you can still go 1.2 miles in and then back out. Stunning views of the meadow and peaks.

The boardwalk is still out due to previously high water so you can’t complete the loop. We stopped fairly early into the trail to watch a mother bear with her two cubs and just decided to head back to our car afterwards since we couldn’t complete the loop, anyways. Seems like a nice little trail though with good views of the river and the canyon.

Really easy trail but half of it was closed due to flooding.

Today. Part of trail was closed today so you can’t do loop. . Must be the easier part near river and meadow. Beautiful but not as easy as it says as we had a long part that was over rocks and up and down steps.

Nice easy trail but half of it was flooded.

This is a beautiful trail and easy. Currently, the water level is high and has washed out part of the trail, so you have to double-back instead of make the full loop. Worth it and gorgeous.

There was a bridge out when I visited but still enjoyed the hike out to the meadow, hanging bridge etc. A lot of comments about the bugs but I wasn't really bothered.

Water was high so we couldn't get around the meadow.

I was unable to do the meadow loop from the trailhead due to part of the trail being flooded. Instead, I hiked down to the meadow from Road’s End. The views of the river and surrounding peaks were very impressive. I saw several deer along the way.

Very nice trail, easy hike, with pretty good trail condition . Views were super, neat bridge to cross Kong’s River. Light traffic a definite plus! We all liked the diversity, from woods, stream parallel, meadow, etc. Deer stopped to watch us too.

Very flat very easy but the meadow is absolutely gorgeous. We saw a family of mule deer, including a baby.

This trail packs a lot into its 1.5 miles....meadows, the river, boulders, and gorgeous views of granite cliffs! Highly recommend!

We camped here and it was so pretty!! There were many wildflowers, rocks, mountains and rivers! You can even see the top of Mt. Whitney!

We hiked this around noon on 10/4/18. Temperature was in the mid-50s and it was sunny. Unfortunately, we couldn't do the entire loop because of trail closure for trail repairs. It's flat, the meadows looked like a wheat field as far as color and height. The part of the trail that was open followed a river which was pleasant. Short hike, nice views, would've liked to do the whole loop though as I think the trail that was closed would've had better photographic opportunities.

Gorgeous short easy hike. The drive to get to the trail is long but has fantastic scenic views of the canyon. A must hike for Kings Canyon National Park.
