We enjoyed this trail a lot. Started at Luken's Lake trail head and camped about 4 miles down at the granite stream section. We went on Labor Day weekend and the trail was not crowded at all. The trail was pretty easy and could be done with small children. Mosquitoes were pretty limited probably due to the higher elevation (7000-8000 ft) and later summer. Overall the scenery was great. One thing that could be improved is to have more campsites with fire rings available. We were lucky to find one in a "hidden" spot that we will be sure to return.
