This scenic loop takes you from the Tilden Park Environmental Education Center to the summit of Wildcat Peak via the Jewel Lake, Sylvan, Peak and Laurel Canyon trails. Terrific views of the Bay Area and a variety of plants and birds keep this route interesting throughout. This route may be very muddy in wet weather.

11-12-17 Nice day to walk up to the WildCat Peak in Tilden. We parked at the Environment Education center. They had a nice 3D map of the peak and canyon to get there. The hike up was filled with clear views of the bay, its bridges, and surrounding cities. Enjoyed the view at the top, and the Peace Grove with Sequoia trees. I was surpised what a pleasant hike this was.

Trail starts passed the Little Farm. It's a steady little climb and then peaks at the top, then a steady decline. Internet access to use map is accessible. A couple of decent parts to pull over and pick nick. Not any huge spots or fields but a couple of places to put a blanket. Need to follow the map because trails aren't obvious. The wildcat peak is often just referred to as peak trail. Decent view of the city when clear. Took my mom and I about an hour and a half.
