I believe this is the trail that was caught on fire. It's not a good time to come. very dusty and black mountains. Let's keep our hiking trails clean . prevent fires if possible.

Great views, hard to follow trails. No trail markings.

Nice little hike but the trail gets pretty over grown later in the hike, we were trudging through bush for a bit haha

Not too difficult of a trail. Download this app so that you don’t get lost but it was a nice opener for the day. Now onto a more difficult trail.

fun trail. higher up than I thought, but manageable. some parts of the trail are a little rough to get through because of the bushes. overall i would do it again.

Great hike today. Tons of water at the base of the canyon. First time on this trail so I’m not sure how much water there usually is, but I’m certain our recent rains had something to do with all the water today. Had fun scrambling the rocks up the creek for about half a mile!

Good, short local trail with decent views and varying terrain. Recent rainstorms have carved out parts of the trail but it’s by no means impassable. Good for kids and dogs. The whole thing takes about 45 minutes to an hour moving at a moderate pace. Definitely would check it out again. Watch out for poison oak!

Great back country feel away from the city. It starts off fairly easy then you encounter slight elevation changes around the loop.

Pretty awesome short trail. Very pretty. Some areas are a little overgrown but nothing that is not easily navigated through. Overall, very friendly little trek. Super kid friendly as well if you have little ones.

The beginning of the trail is very basic and does not require much skill. As you progress toward the hill you can either go left and hike to the top of the hill or right and swing around the base of the hill. I prefer to climb to the top of the hill because the views are great especially as the sun is setting. Wear sun protection if you are hiking on a sunny day, this is a quick hike but there is little shade. Also, be aware of snakes, I hike this trail often and recently saw 2 baby rattlesnakes in different areas of the trail. Watch your step!

I wished I had brought a machete or clippers of some kind. A lot of over growth of bushes and trees along the path. Glad I wore long pants and long sleeves. This trail is not for the beginner. Lots of steep inclines. I loved it and will return again...with my clippers.

Great short(ish) trail. Can pick it up either at Santa Rosa plateau, or via various copper canyon neighborhood streets. Not a ton of wildlife; but great shade, a well kept trail, and some great great views. An easy morning jaunt where three miles can be hammered out in about an hour. Not terribly crowded when I take it (usually 6am on weekdays). Not only can it be hiked round trip, but a 4+ mile point to point via copper canyon and Santa Rosa is another excellent option. Enjoy!
