The Western Stages portion was busy. Getting upto the upper stagecoach area from the confluence was a bit of a climb, but was well worth the effort. The trail back was canopied, with blackberries aplenty.

It’s a nice 9ish mile loop when’s it’s not so damn hot. Very few blackberry patches, or streams this time of the year.

Terrible for dogs, no shade, lots of foxtails, terrible parking with confusing pay station setup. Most paths to the water were very steep, impossible to do with big dog.

Me and my best friend did this hike with my 3 year old. We took our Bob stroller so it had big bike like tires. My daughter is strong but after 1 mile in the 96 degrees she needs more breaks so that’s why we take it. We did at points had make her hike and us man handle the stroller but it was fine!! I would do it again but not with a stroller if I didn’t have a second adult.

We went closer to sunset so it was a nice temp. Parking is on the side of the road and it gets really busy. It was an easy walk and there were a lot of people on it mostly in large groups. Looked like there’s a couple nice spots to swim also!

It was a nice hike, but pretty crowded/busy. The waterfall was very small - just a trinkle. Most people weren’t social distancing or wearing masks.

Gorgeous easy trail that follows along the river. I took my daughter who is 7, and she loved it. You pass many people in large groups, especially on the weekend. But midweek it seems to be better. Great for trail running! Beautiful little waterfall about a mile in.

Ideal trail to bring less experienced hikers, easy with lots of friendly people and great views along the way. Trails to the river below. Go early to avoid crowds. Parking available up the hill on the side of the road.

Easy short hike! It’s alongside the river. Oh can also go down to the water, very relaxing.

Recommend this spot for beginners. Saw some horses on the trail, runners and hikers with their dogs. Get there early to avoid parking issues. You’ll have to park at an angle facing outward on a really tight road and often there will be cars coming and going up the mountain. There were some striking views and we saw visitors enjoying the rivers. Seemed to be easy access. Two beautiful bridges and one waterfall. What more can you ask for!

easy hike. went on a Monday, the parking was packed at 9 am. I would suggest getting there early. As we past the waterfall there was a picnic bench on the left we stopped to give our dog water , and we seen 2 deer chasing each other up in the bushes.

6/6/20** parking for this trail and others in Auburn Recreation Area are open ** If you go on a weekend expect loads of people but there are plenty of side trails and little bits of river you can have to yourself with a little effort.

This is a great trail for kids. It was hard to find parking but traffic was cautious of pedestrians.

Easy trail for beginners! The waterfall is nice, not to much water coming down from it! Parking is a little hectic if you park on the side street by the trail be very cautious! Overall easy hike! With good views

It was a really nice easy hike, especially recommend this to beginners. Have nothing negative to say about it except for the part we saw a bear climbing up toward the trail! We immediately headed back the way we were coming from and luckily lost sight of him. I do recommend taking a bear spray with you just in case.

Easy walk with a little water fall that’s enough to get the feet wet. Paid parking is required and they do issue tickets. Get there early as the spot is very popular and good parking is limited. Dogs on leashes are allowed.

I wouldn’t hike it for the “falls” element of it but if you want an easy hike this one is for you. Great for beginners

Nice and easy trail to a decent size waterfall and small pool. My dog loved playing in the water. You can walk more and explore Auburn after the waterfall, trail connects to a bunch of other trails.

Fun, very doable hike with kids (9 and 4). Some of the switchbacks after the bridge take you right to the water, which is highly recommended.

You currently can not access this trail. We drove out there today to find all road side parking has been blocked off and a ranger parked at the entrance not allowing people on the trail.
