Easy trail for beginners! The waterfall is nice, not to much water coming down from it! Parking is a little hectic if you park on the side street by the trail be very cautious! Overall easy hike! With good views

It was a really nice easy hike, especially recommend this to beginners. Have nothing negative to say about it except for the part we saw a bear climbing up toward the trail! We immediately headed back the way we were coming from and luckily lost sight of him. I do recommend taking a bear spray with you just in case.

Easy walk with a little water fall that’s enough to get the feet wet. Paid parking is required and they do issue tickets. Get there early as the spot is very popular and good parking is limited. Dogs on leashes are allowed.

I wouldn’t hike it for the “falls” element of it but if you want an easy hike this one is for you. Great for beginners

Nice and easy trail to a decent size waterfall and small pool. My dog loved playing in the water. You can walk more and explore Auburn after the waterfall, trail connects to a bunch of other trails.

Fun, very doable hike with kids (9 and 4). Some of the switchbacks after the bridge take you right to the water, which is highly recommended.

That trail went pretty good. Nice obstacles while walking. Limited parking between the trails I walked into.

The park and parking are all closed. You can chance parking on the side of the road, but they’re currently issuing tickets

You currently can not access this trail. We drove out there today to find all road side parking has been blocked off and a ranger parked at the entrance not allowing people on the trail.

Great hike! We added a bit. The trail from the top of Stagecoach to Manzanita was very steep. The rest was a great mix. The waterfall was beautiful!

Short hike, nice bridge and pretty little falls. Dog and kid friendly but lots of poison oak as of March 2020.

First hike in a long time. It was easy and most of the trail was in good condition

Super easy and short hike. Very pretty River and waterfall. Busy trail. Lots of people walking, running, and riding horses. Lots of people with dogs on trail too.

Super easy trail to see the water (short not really a waterfall). There’s a section where you can go down and chill by the river, which was really nice. You can keep climbing up to hike more towards Robie point (more incline). Went this month in February great weather.

Very busy on the weekends

Trail is wide and ample, some points it gets narrow. Side trails lead to the river... choose wisely. No parking fee.... so far. Parking space, first come - first served (come early to get a spot next to the gate) Saturdays: lots of trail runners. Kids: ok, but keep supervision if Hellions are ornery.

My little dog and I did this walk today. it was fantastic. It wasnt busy yet(season). It was easy terrain and felt safe. lots of birds singing and flying all over. The waterfall was pretty. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the parking. I can't imagine how crowded this place is on a hot summer day. It looks like a great swimming place!

A nice easy hike with views of the American River. Today was partly cloudy after a light rain. Trail was lightly muddy in places. Took my new Aussie Cattle Dog which needs trail work around people, and other dogs. This is a dog friendly trail. Trail is mostly car width, and narrow to single plus track in places with some up/down. Very popular on the weekend, with lots of dogs and a few horses. If you arrive mid morning or later parking may be a problem. Parking is limited to road side parking where most cars back or pull in to save space.

Went 12-30-19. Some of the trail was muddy due to the time of year. No big deal but prepare by wearing correct shoes. This was my first time on this trail and I was with my mother and two children. It was super easy! Just a warning.. if you’re looking to get away from people do NOT pick this trail. It was crowded with a ton of people walking in and back. Got to see people riding horseback which was neat. Pretty waterfall at the end. You can choose to keep walking farther which leads back to Auburn or turn around and head back to trailhead.

Nice easy trial perfect for families and pet friendly.

First, for those that want to know...there are pit toilets just down the trail a bit. I loved this hike! For me it was easy. The trail is mostly flat, smooth, and in most places is wide enough for two people to walk abreast. Views are great and the waterfall was beautiful...even if not as full as it will be come spring. Will be doing this one again.

Great out and back with a small waterfall reward. Good for families with hikers of all ability levels.

Easy walking path for an afternoon stroll. A few slightly rocky parts but easy enough to do in flip flops!

the falls are very small in August, better off hiking down a trail to the river.
