Boring trail by itself, but it takes you to the exciting places.

This is not a bike friendly trail. It is part of the Valley Loop Trail and is suitable for walking/hiking only.

Nice level trail with great views of El Capitan. Trail had a lot of fallen trees to maneuver around and was muddy in places but my 5 year old did it with only a little help.
The tram takes you around the valley floor. So although it's a loop it's more of a road not a hiking trail. FYI. But a bike is a great way to go on the bike path. It's just busy in the summer.
The Yosemite Valley Floor Loop is an awesome, easy, and convenient way to see the main features of the Valley. It's flat and accessible for pretty much everyone, but it can be long for some folks. IT'S OPEN YEAR-AROUND! I have hiked it before and it's great, just really crowded. However the last time I did it my friend and I rode her horses, now THAT is the way to do it.
If you're staying in Yosemite, rent a bicycle and take a spin around the valley!
