HikingGreat!Muddy

Hiked this trail on a Tuesday afternoon. We started out on east ridge and walked around and ended on west. The service roads that begin and end on this hike are biking paths, which you do need to watch out for since the majority bike fast. The middle trails are beautiful and peaceful. I would rate this moderate since there are pretty steep parts. If hiking after rain bring boots and maybe poles.

It is a beautiful trail! Lots of people - all but a few were wearing masks. We took the advice of others and started at the East Ridge Trail and followed the instructions on here backwards. It was mostly shady, but the uphill was a little hard.

Such a lovely afternoon trail! Not too busy. We went clockwise from skyline staging and had the climb right in the middle which was nice. Will definitely do again.

This hike is so beautiful and you get to see a lot of different views and terrain right in the backyard of oakland. Starting with a mountainy overlook into a lush redwood forest jungle along a creek. Like others mentioned, I would recommend doing this trail counterclockwise and starting with the east ridge. This hike is 4.9 miles, and, in my opinion, is more on the moderate side for difficulty. There are signs for dogs being on leash but people don’t seem to mind them being off leash. Well maintained and very good trail markings. Do this hike!

After doing this hike with my 70-year old mom, I'd rate it at more of a moderate level. The uphill was a bit difficult for her; however, it's not nearly as steep as many of the surrounding trails. I also recorded the hike, and we walked 4.9 miles, not 3.9, but we followed the path the whole way. Regardless, I'd do it again!

Definitely start clockwise with the East Ridge trail! It would suck to end there because it would be uphill and super sunny/exposed. Tres Sendas is absolutely beautiful. Probably wouldn’t do this hike again but the dogs really enjoyed it.

Beautiful hike with a quite a bit of shade (excluding East Ridge). Recommend going clockwise and knocking out the East Ridge section first (uphill and blazing sun at the end of the hike was less than ideal). The Tres Sendas portion was our favorite.

Tres Sendes was so beautiful. It was drizzling, but the redwoods shielded us. We didn't see a single person in Tres Sendes. Not that many people on a Thursday except the East Ridge portion. I will most likely not take the East Ridge portion next time, it was the least enjoyable. The trail says to keep dogs on leash.

Tres sendas was my favorite part. The rest of the trail was way to wide, no shade, and just exposed
