Sign says closed but you can follow the road close to where the creek bed is. There is a sign and a path that leads to the fork (West Trail). Go to the right and follow that path all the way to the little waterfall. Takes you all the way to the top and it’s pretty well marked. Saw sev other hikers. Once at the top you can turn around an go back down the way you came up or head down the opposite side like I did. A bit hard to get down the first 1/2 mile or so but otherwise fine. You end up opposite side of the road but not very hard to go through the creek bed and climb back up to where you parked.

We tried to hike here today and went past the road closure on Mountain Road and parked, but the West Fork is closed. There were cars parked across the dry river bed to the trailhead on the other side, but we couldn't figure out how to get to the trailhead. Any suggestions? This is one of our favorite trails, pre-debris flow, and we'd like to hike it again. Thanks.
