This out and back trail is not marked. However, it is an easy hike with no elevation gain and nice rock formations and trees on your way. The history of Wall Street Mill makes it an interesting place.

Easy little trail, no elevation and very family friendly! You see some pretty cool rusty old cars and the mill. If you’re going in the Summer, bring tons of water (ie a Camelbak) Even though this is a short, easy hike, it got up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit by 10 AM in July.

This was one of my favorite hikes at Joshua Tree! If you just follow the trail it can get boring, but we scrambled up the rocks at the beginning and saw the remains of a house(?) and an old car off the main trail. There are no signs postmarked but on the main trail a little while in youll see a fork. If you follow it to the left you'll come across the ruins of an old house like 3 minutes later. I wish there was a sign or something to give a little history of what it was, but it was super cool to look around at the old well, fireplace, and see the structure of the house. Then you can go back and follow the main trail to the mill (which was also very cool) We saw cute fat lizards and a rattlesnake on the way back so be careful!

Easy trail with lots of cool mining artifacts along the way. Several old cars, ruins of a home, and a really cool mill at the end. Also several rocky areas to climb if you want. Careful to follow the trail- dry riverbeds tend to look just like trails and are easy to mistakenly follow. Wear baggy long pants- may have to tread through longer grass here and there.

Interesting to see the mill and car hulls along with the shootout plaque. A fun, learning experience as well as refreshing hike. Not too heavily trafficked.

This is like walking through and outdoor museum. There is a lot of cool things to see. If you don’t feel like waking the whole route, there is a parking lot that gets you closer. It was odd to walk past it and realize I could have parked closer.

Pretty boring. The abandoned vehicles and parts of the mill are cool to see, but a very small part of the hike.

Very easy trail and a cool mill to check out at the end of the loop. Other cool things along the way, too. Fun little trek. Easy for everyone and a good way to end the day.

We really enjoyed this trail. The trail itself is easy and easy to stay on trail and there are markers, along with 3 old rusted cars, remains of the mill, water pump, and a story about a gunfight and marker. Finding the trail to start was the trickier part as it isn’t marked on the park map well at all and road signs almost non existent. Follow signs to hidden valley and barker dam more specifically. Keep following the barker dam signs and finally you will see the Wall St mine trail and follow a dirt road for a minute and it will end at the parking lot which is small but does have a bathroom! We went about 230 and it was perfect!

This was a good easy trail to do at the end of the day after we did longer hikes. Although it was a January Saturday we found parking easily at 3:30. This is flat and easy although sandy, so soft. Take your time, admire the beauty around you as you walk. The mill is pretty cool to see. It really hasn’t been that long since it stopped activity.

My husband and I along with a crew of 5 went to hike this trail. Overall, it was an easy trail with a cool view of some old cars, windmill, and mill! February was a great time to go as it was cooler because there isn't much shade. Here are some points/suggestions: 1. Parking is limited. If you aren't lucky enough to get a spot, you can wait for one or park down the road and hike to the trailhead. 2. We recommend you combine this trail with Barker Dam trail from which you can walk to this trailhead. The path isn't as well marked after you leave from Barker trailhead but our novice hikers figured it out without us. 3. It is sandy so you may want to walk on the side of the trail. But it is good on bad knees and for kids. 4. Take time to check out the signs and cool old items along the trail. You can also easily climb the rocks at the mill for a fun view. 5. There wasn't too much traffic on this trail as compared to Barker Dam which was nice. Also, when you get to a fork on the main trail, go right. Enjoy the hike!

Great artifacts to see along the path and at the end. The trail is well marked and wide except at one location. Starting the trail at the paved parking lot near Barker Dam leads to a dirt parking lot. The trail gets confusing here due to multiple trails that have been created. Best option is to walk to the dirt parking lot near the restroom. You should be able to pick up the trail again easily.

Very cool historical trail. It’s a bit poorly marked so using the app kept us from going too far astray. An easy but sandy walk.

An easy stroll along level terrain with many interesting sites along the way. The old truck, windmill, ruins of homestead and at the end the Wall Street Mill. Although the mill is behind a fence there are interpretive signs and you can easily see the Mill. Also there are a few vehicles in the trees near the Mill if you explore.

Honestly you cannot find or stay on the trail because is so poorly marked! Towards the end of the hike there were 20 people lost & trying to use game trails to find the legit trail

A quick jaunt for some pictures of ruins of old human settlements and a bit of history. It was ok. Maybe do this if you’re in the area and planning some other hikes in the same day

Easy. Gravel road walk. Lots of cool old cars. Windmill. And the mining machine and house are really neat to see too.
