During poppy season, I'm sure this is an awe inspiring hike. Currently, though, it's very dull, and despite there being nothing really fantastic to see, the trail has disproportionately challenging stretches where you go up high in elevation in a short distance. In other words, without the wild flowers, this cake ain't worth the bake. Wouldn't repeat without the poppies.

Easy trail with a study incline, not crowded, easy parking, well cleared trail. It’s dry as a bone right now, not any green or wildflowers in sight this year

Trail beautiful. Trailhead full of garbage. Disgraceful. I think C19 may have litter patrol on pause. Hey people, pack your stinking garbage out. yeesh.

Great trail with inclines to increase your heart rate. We completed the loop, would recommend shoes with a good grip cuz it can be a little gravely in certain areas. We would do this again.

HikingGreat!

Great workout! Better to wear hiking shoes for the descent — I wore my running shoes and found myself slipping a bit. Otherwise great local trail! Weird, my Apple Watch and phone indicated that we hiked over 9 miles but the site says it’s only 4.64...

Great trail. It has just the right amount of inclines and declines to keep the blood pumping. Great views down in the canyon.

Good trail with some steep points. Did not enjoy the sound of electricity for about half a mile or so.

I love this hike because it’s close and you get a real workout with great views. Depending on the time of day watch out for rattlers and the bugs. It says closed and as of the other day it was blocked off but don’t worry about that, just find somewhere to park and go on a beautiful hike

I dont want to leave a review for a trail I have not been able to take. I went yesterday (4/20/2020) to hike and the street was closed off by fencing and a park ranger.

Just a local loop near my neighborhood, this is definitely the best time of year for that short little hike because it gets hot AF in the summer. Great views of the lake, town and hills

Muy buen sendero, si eres principiante te va a costar subir. Altamente recomendable.
