This is a great trail with hills flats and sand. If you are trail running you get alittle of everything and good for hill repeats. The hills have no shade but the flats of the trail do. Good for kids and well marked.

Mule deer trail and horned toad trail are pretty neat. The location is extremely convenient for people who live in coto de caza.

This is a great little trail. The climb in elevation isn't to bad, and the view is most certainly worth it. Watch out for little frogs on the path and decent sized rattle snakes. I almost stepped on one, I wasn't watching the path and watching birds instead. Beautiful trail!!!

Lovely trail, but nearly stepped on a baby rattlesnake, so keep your eyes out.
Thought it would have been too cold for them, but someone else had seen one too so they're around, please be careful.

Great for kids, I've hiked this several times with my kids (two girls ages 3 and 4). Mule Deer are regularly resting in the shade and after a good rain you can hear frogs croaking in Dry Pond. Beware of rattlesnakes! We encountered the first Southern Pacific Rattlesnake of the season on Mule Deer Trail yesterday (2/1/17). They like to hide in the cacti next to the trail, so keep your eyes peeled.

Nice trails for local residents. Not challenging for serious hikers. Keeps me in shape during the week. Used to see deer but they are rare now.
