I actually liked this trail, but we came across it as part of a different trail that I searched. While it is dog-friendly (special thanks to all who help keep the water bowl filled for dogs), keep in mind it's probably slightly more challenging for short-legged dogs like mine, than long-legged runners. It's also mostly rocks, so dogs who don't like that may not be comfortable. Also, the trail itself isn't always clearly marked. It's easy to miss a sign for the loop in some areas. At one point, there were three signs at one intersection marked so far apart, I actually missed two of them.

This is a beautiful trail, with a pretty stream and a few nice, big trees. Not a lot of shade, but you can find some. We saw an orange dragonfly and a little lizard. The trail itself was sort of “paved” with small, sharp rocks so definitely wear thick soled shoes.

Great wide trail! We saw a rattlesnake at the beginning near the driveway to the visitors center so be mindful! Great for running!

Took us an hour to complete at a slow “enjoying the scenery” phase. It had a lot of views! Beautiful running water creek sounds. Giant trees to get shade under. It definitely helped having the app to make sure we were on the right path. We will be back to try even more!

Although the trail was super narrow , and no water for dogs along the way , this Trail was great! There is a water bowl in the beginning of the trail but after that nothing. Definitely need to have your dogs on leash here.

Flowwrs are in bloom! Nice trail if you need to work on increasing speed, or have a leisurely walk.
