Totally worth the last hour to get to the pools. Frigid water, deep enough to dunk under. Early morning best time to go, fewer people.

This is a great hike with palm trees, cool oases, exposed rocky ridges, cacti, bighorn sheep, and views of snow-capped mountains. You can have it all in one 3 mile loop! We spent about 20 minutes watching a pair of bighorn sheep and babies, which impacted our hike time. As others have noted, if not moderate, this is certainly on the moderate side of easy. Sturdy shoes, plenty of water, a hat and trekking poles will be helpful for many. Enjoy!

HikingGreat!

I agree with other reviewers, walk in the canyon is easy but the victor loop to the ridge is moderate. So glad we did this as the views are worth it. Wear shoes with good tread as the path uneven and rocky. Will do it again soon.

HikingGreat!

Many might think this is more Moderate than Easy -- but it was worth the few spots above the canyon which get your heart pumping. Spectacular views. We have been hiking the wntire area for four days and this was the most impressive scenery in our opinion. We did this counter-clockwise. It really seems like clockwise would be harder.

We did this trail after hiking the first mile of the Palm Oasis beginning at the trading post. Then at the signs we went up to do the Victor Trail. There is good cardio on this trail so I’m surprised by the easy rating. It’s more moderate, especially if you go clockwise. (We went counterclockwise but talked to others doing it the opposite way.). When we went it was cool and a little cloudy. The mountains were covered in snow. Absolutely breathtaking views from the top of the Victor Trail. I wouldn’t do it in a hot day or without water. One of my favorite trails in Palm Springs.

Really enjoy this hike! Have done it both ways and it's fun the two different climates you get to experience. An easy hike but a decent workout if you're moving fast.

HikingFeeGreat!

And then Great hike! From the trading post station, you’ll begin on the Palm Canyon Trail in a very lush creek bed oasis with tons of old palm trees. About one mile into the canyon, you’ll jump onto the Victor Trail, which quickly gives you stunning views of the palm trees and Palm Springs. It’s much more desolate and less populated up there—which we loved. Definitely recommend this great loop.

With the gyms closed due to COVID, I needed to get creative, so instead of a gym membership, I bought an annual pass for Indian Canyons here in Palm Springs. I like to start at the end of Victor trail and run as much as I can ( the first mile is a strenuous uphill hike. ) bring water and make sure to stretch. It’s steep. Great cardio and a great way to challenge yourself. I try to beat my best time
