Nowhere to park. What a joke. I guess you can’t hike here unless you’re a guest of the golf course or Legoland.

Not for the faint of heart. Parts of trail are sandy other sections are washed out. Definitely a good workout but don’t do it for the scenery.

HikingGreat!

Trails all well maintained. Good markers. Driving directions from link to Google maps are terrible though and use extreme caution crossing the metal bridge in morning because it is deceptive and dangerously slippery. Pretty brush (love quintessential California landscapes) and a decent workout for sure. Note Rattlesnake out at 7:15 am so their signage is no joke. Nice sandy paths and firm terrain as well.

It’s a nice trail with some decent hill climbs. Variation in topography. A good 50 min workout. Saw a coyote and some good views. Would do again when I want a quick break and mind reset.

Update to my post: I’ve been at work for several hours and have now found 3 ticks on my dog! Barf! Actually a pretty neat trail. Downhill to start do ya, uphill to finish. Nice views from the top of the loop. I went right, so counterclockwise around the loop. I think the other way would have been more challenging, because it seemed steeper. Would go early or late in the day because there’s no shade. I went out at 7 am so it was still cool. Not much traffic on the trail at this time of the morning. Got bit by a couple mosquitos along the way, but wasn’t too buggy overall. Definitely a mixture of terrain, quite rocky and washed out in some sections, flat and sandy in some sections, and then part of the trail crosses a metal grated bridge and golf cart path.

Cool trail all around for a moderate trail. The bridge and scenery is beautiful, you can see the lagoon, ocean and smoke shake. Nice for late in the day or real early. Will do it again.

Mosquitoes have never liked me, but I got eaten alive on this trail. Really itchy bites, too.

Nice trail great view at the top, kid friendly. We usually only do the front loop and up to the top from Faraday rd for a short incline burst

Super easy, family-friendly trail. One section was full of bees, so we turned around and went back. Otherwise, a nice Sunday hike.

Nice family-friendly hikes. The kids loved crossing the bridge, going through golf course and tunnel on The Crossings trail. However, very notably there was dog poop everywhere on the trail, nearly every 5 feet. Pretty gross and inconsiderate. Bring poop bags! Or at the very least grab a stick and hit that crap off the trail. The kids also enjoyed scootering on the paved Legoland trail. Excited to see the views from the Veterans trail on our next hike here.

Steep inclines in several spots. Beginning of trail ( near golf course) is well marked but not marked at all for the remainder of the trail.
