Great trail but WAY TO MANY PEOPLE on a Sunday. Some cool little bushwhacked trails off the main trail that I will be coming back during the week to explore.

I prefer the side trails to the actual trail on the way up, as this one is so steep and hard to get your footing on. As with many SoCal trails, there is absolutely no shade! Keep going up past the landing for the May bench/flag trail. There is a lot, though it fills up quickly, and another (frisbee golf) lot which sometimes has a spot. There is also some street parking- be aware that you'll have to walk uphill a fair amount before getting to the trailhead! Trail itself is busy, but not too crowded.

A great trail. I love getting to the flag at the top once a week. My friend and I are the latest ones to put it up (February). You will see a strong from my drawstring back helping keep it up when you get to the top. Also a helicopter pad if you REALLY want a work out. Just past the 5 mile mark, so if you get there, keep going!

This is an awesome place to get some trail running in. Just follow the pavement up! Mosy people stop 1.5miles or so in, you can see a nice view, however if you keep goi g further up you'll find a bench! That's the spot you want to see! Overall good spot to run at. Bring water if you plan to hit the top! Taste much better when you sit on that bench! ;)

we took a different route this time and it was a asphalt road all uphill 2700 feet we got to and then we decided to come back on a shortcut that was a dirt Fire Road and it was steep I do not recommend coming down it but when we got back the gate to the park was closed we had to walk clear around and come in on the street and it was windy at the top but a beautiful panoramic view also
