Such a great trail! Tough on the legs but rewarding. We went off trail a bit to get closer to the falls. Highly recommend!

I would say this trail was definitely moderate until the stairs up to the falls near the end, that was a pain in the legs! but way worth it, had a picnic at emerald pool on a sunny day in february, well worth the struggle! coming back down took half the time

This is a great hike. Paved trail for the first third and then really cool natural stone steps up to the falls. It's like a scene from Game of thrones or Lord of the Rings. Check out our waterfalls in Yosemite video - https://youtu.be/nr-T-isZNDs

Paved trail until closer to the falls. Mist trail was open for me and quite dry. Great trail!

Beautiful hike and worth the difficult climb. I really recommend going all the way up the stairs to see the waterfall. Make sure to wear hiking shoes with strong grips because it’s rocky. It was very crowded when I went during the summer. Take your time and take in the views along the way.

Very pretty views the whole way, very crowded even on Presidents’ Day weekend in February. No snow in Yosemite valley so everything was clear and the falls were flowing. Slick rock staircase along side of cliff to the top but once up there beautiful views and you can continue up the mist trail as far as you want. 8 college students who are moderately out of shape were able to do it just fine :)

Amazing trail! You will need good legs to make it up there but the views along the way and at the destination are quite stunning! Took us about 2h30 to complete.

Definitely get ready to utilize your leg muscles :) it’s almost constant uphill except for a little decline near the bridge halfway through. Those stairs at the end will kick your butt, but the views are SO worth it. Went today (Feb 11th) and there was no snow, just a few slick spots of ice near the top.

Great trail. hit it early in the day in January so we had it all to ourselves. Steep climb to the falls....great vantage at clark point. lots to take in. next time to Nevada falls!

Beautiful hike, definitely requires some good shoes and strong leg muscles. We did this the day after a warm winter day and the falls were beautiful. It was crowded for off season and would imagine walking up the stairs would be difficult if there was double the ppl. Highly recommend doing this on a winter trip for that reason. No snow or ice when we went on 2/1/2020.

The rest of the trail up to Vernal Falls was closed due to risk of falling rocks so we turned back. Oh well!

Last 0.3 miles was gated out. Went through anyhow and was beautiful. It is a bit slippery because of the rain, but well worth it if you know you're safe

Great, underrated hike. Very few people in November.

Quite a steep incline. However the views from the bridge & the mist coming off the falls is amazing!

Spectacular trail. Intense as it’s a steep incline 90% of the time. Views at the top are so worth it. If you bring your swimsuit you can go in the water at the top. We went last week of August and it was insanely packed, that would be the only complaint. Way too many people and having to wait to keep hiking. Otherwise, great trail. Can be very slippery near the falls so be prepared.
