Good house watching walk with all the unique and colorful houses. The canal isn’t anything great but it’s a good 45-60 minute walk to do something different. Worth doing at least once

A scenic urban stroll alongside a lush oasis. Masks required and some segments of the canal walk are currently closed.

As folks say, I would hardly call this " a trail" but it is a nice walking area to get a neat vibe in LA. The canals are kind of gross though....

I didn’t realize this was a “trail” until after the fact when I saw it listed on All Trails. I was a little apprehensive at first because the roadway on the bridge says “local traffic only” so I assumed they probably wouldn’t want people walking near their homes either. I was completely wrong. There were several other people strolling through the canals as well. Definitely not a workout but it’s something to do to walk off some food or kill some time. Very peaceful & beautiful surroundings.

maybe it was because it was low tide but I was really unimpressed, their was a lot of algae and it smelled like a swamp, it was peaceful I'll say that better than the path down by the beach that stinks of weed and people are trying to try to sell you a CD of there crappy "music"

Nice walk if you’re in the area but nothing spectacular from a true hiking perspective. We had a somewhat mild afternoon and some time to kill while we were down in Marina Del Rey so figured we would tackle these while close. Some very neat houses along the way but it gets somewhat repetitive walking up and down the canals. Nice walk to do with a dog though - plenty others did the same. Just be wary, finding parking in the area can be a challenge! We parked about a half mile away on S. Venice Blvd.

This is a nice easy path...not really a trail to take a leisurely walk around the homes and area near Venice Beach. There are many good photo ops along the path.Take your time to walk around the area. There are many nice neachy themed bars and restaurants very nearby. Free parking on the side streets can be a challenge so be prepared to pay for parking in a lot. The beach is literally just a couple of blocks away and is very nice at the golden hour of the day. Excellent overall area to explore and take in all things Southern California.

This is a beautiful, leisurely stroll through a residential area where the neighborhoods have Venice, Italy-like canals between the houses. There are picturesque footbridges for you to get around the canals, which make for some nice photos. Parking can be tricky. You will need to find street parking in the neighborhood and please be considerate of the residents and heed all signage.

Scenic walkway on a paved surface through a residential area. Path is well suited for leisure walking offering a scenic view of the canal and neighborhood.

Not really a trail but rather a paved sidewalk through the canals in a residential area. Pleasant stroll with some nice houses along the way, but nothing really exciting or overly scenic.

Did this back in August. Such a beautiful walk in a beautiful city. A nice little mini Venice ( that doesn’t nearly touch the amazingness of Venice, Italy)

Pleasant walk around the canals this morning. Halloween decorations only added to the fun and delight throughout. Add this one to the return list.

Great w friends but I took my dog and there were a lot of unfriendly dogs on the path that live in the neighborhood. Would never bring my dog back but may do a walk with friends. 3 stars bc i felt unsafe due to the nature of the dogs wanting to attack mine. But yes it is cool plce with interesting houses. Not something I would go to rountinely.

Too windy and cool at Venice Beach boardwalk today. This was a great sheltered walk a few blocks in from the beach along the canals to see some great architecture.
