HikingGreat!

Love this hike. Dog friendly, plenty of rocks to scramble on. My 4 year old loves it. Not crowded at all once you get away from the parking lot. Trail is a bit tough to follow but not a huge area and can’t get too lost.

We love coming to Vasquez Rocks to hike and climb. Today the weather was perfect, but it was quite crowded.

The place is great but the trail is practically nonexistent. You are better off picking and following the extended trail on the pacific crest, which is also found on AllTrails

Really great national forest, very easy trails you can easily bring the family of all ages to walk, there’s also a place to park right next to the rocks otherwise it’s about a 1/2 mile walk to the main Rocks.

Beautiful and fascinating. The park is a network of crisscrossing trails, so it can be easy to get off of the AllTrails routes if you're not checking your GPS constantly. Also there are endless (totally optional) climbs, scrambles, and photo-ops that will draw you off course. Allow time for an unusually slow pace and have fun!

Great place to bring kids and pets. Went on Presidents’ Day and it was crowed but not overwhelming.

Really interesting rock formations! Went on Sunday 2/14/21 of Presidents Day weekend so it was fairly crowded. Trails are pretty indistinguishable, at least trying to follow this loop. We used the app to try and stay on the loop and followed some washes. Made it back in one piece. On the plus side, it’s easier to keep your distance from people when you can go anywhere. Plenty of parking.

Beautiful rock formations. Easy to get around and to a bit of rock scramble.

Fun trails all over. I love the scenery here, almost reminds me of another planet. I see why they film so much here. I actually saw some filming going on while I was there. Good to take your dogs, on leash of course. Very well kept. Overall I would recommend just about anyone to go and check it out.

Not really a trail, you are just scrambling all over the place on the southern portion of it. As soon as we got to an actual trail 75% in, we just followed it back to the parking lot.

Great hike about 40 min from La Great cool rocks to climb. Kids favorite. We spotted a coyote and many rabbits. Our girls love the horses that go there. The lady was nice to let us pet it.

Beautiful place to explore nature. The rock formations are fantastic. There are picture opportunities everywhere. The trails are a little bizarre in that they kind of go everywhere. So there's not a clear path to 1 or 2 but endless trails. It's interesting. We did a few loops but took different trails both times. There are 3 parking areas. We parked in the middle one by the pacific crest trail but I think next time we'll park closer to the Star Trek location (because that's where the restrooms are and the big rock formations). We spent about an hour here looking around. Make sure you bring water and maybe a snack. I wore my GoRuck backpack and got a great workout in during that length of time.

HikingScramble

The rocks themselves are incredible, worth scrambling up and looking out. As for the hike: What’s marked on this AllTrails route doesn’t follow a marked trail, so just be warned. If you try to follow the loop pay attention to where it diverges or you'll be climbing through brush and over rocks to get back on a clear path.

Nice little hike BUT make sure you stay on the trail!! Bring a map or a guide as this bad boy will have you in the hills pretty quick. If you have a friend named Francisco ... leave him at home ;) Watch the boys go on an adventure @ https://link.trailorbail.com/VasquezRocks - Oh, and we brought the girls too. . .
