Quick out and back affording commanding views of Carquinez Strait and San Pablo Bay plus surrounding communities. Park on the street nearby if school is in session.

Pretty cool. Downside is lots of houses and development around and lots of ticks. A fellow biker warmed us - she found several on her. Sure enough, I found one on me. Luckily, it had not latched on. But, a pleasant hike with some nice views.

Really liked this trail. My middle-aged parents were able to hike it even though they are not very active people and the trail does have some steeper sections in its windy up and down path. The path gets a lot more narrow and a tiny bit overgrown as you reach one of the last summits, but most of it is wide enough for several people and clear of vegetation. I met more lizard friends than I could count! They practically stopped to shake my hand! Haha Only ran into one large snake which quickly slithered away from the path. Overall I feel like this is a great trail to challenge your legs on and condition for some longer hikes. I had such a blast! Oh but do go earlier in the morning because the no shade thing is so real as it gets closer to 10am. The sun blaring down on you really heats things up.

Starts off at a school parking lot. zero shade on trail. Great view of Vallejo and the strip-minning of the hill. Winds from the west

Great views of Mt Tam, entire city of Vallejo, and Carquinez straight. Watch your step...quite a bit of poo. Bring bug spray also.

Perfect trail for spring hiking. The hills are green and the flowers are in bloom. There is no shade on this trail, so I would recommend an early morning hike if you plan to use in the summer months. The views at the top of this trail are wonderful. This is a great trail to take if you want an easy to moderate hike, school age kids could easily hike this trail too.

The first part of the trail is very steep and I would rate it as strenuous. Trail links up with other trails to Benicia Community Park and Lake Herman.

Trailhead is behind the Kindercare business. Trail has no shade, very very hot in the summer. You'll be basically walking up and down the foothills, nice views, though.
