Beautiful! A bit icy/muddy this time of year, as expected, but a beautiful trail. Only saw a few other groups while we were out there. Perfect for a short hike with our elderly pup.

The east part if the loop is nice. The west part is narrow and sometimes difficult to find.

Great riverside trail for the family. Occasionally, you'll encounter a dog without a leash.

Nice stroll on a winter day. The dog loved it! Road noise at first, then more quiet farther on the trail.

Walking

Very easy, good for dogs. There’s a lot of trail off shoots but pretty easy to find the right one

RunningMuddyOver grown

Great running trail if you're okay with it not being totally flat. The side next to the river is definitely overgrown and has some obstacles - fallen trees/logs in the trail, mud patches, and trees you have to duck under, but none of them come out of nowhere and they're easily avoided. I got there around 10:30, entered on the river side and didn't see anyone until I was coming back up the straight part.

Started around 1pm on a Friday. Don’t worry about the fence you encounter in the first half. Just go under it. Only people we saw were camped along the river with lawn chairs. First half of the trail is pretty over grown which made the path pretty narrow at times, but the second half is in a clearing full of beautiful wildflowers and widened out considerably. Overall a very easy hike with some beautiful views!

What a great trail! Lots of off-shoots and options for different parallel trails (creekside, wide meadow path, single track on higher ground). If you want a longer walk, the loop links to a trail that will supposedly take you all the way to the lake.

WalkingMuddySnowWashed out

This is a particularly fun little hike if you have a dog who loves the water. There are a lot of dogs off leash frolicking about. One I saw was even swimming along side her person's kayak sporting her own life-vest. The trail out hugs the shoreline. It was fun interacting with the water goers. I was even able to keep pace with a group most of the way. Some sections of the trail were already washed out when we were there and I suspect this will get worse with the spring melt. The loop back takes you away from the river. I'm not fond of this section. The walk out next to the river is so lively this section is kind of a let down. Next time I will walk back along the river using the trail as an out and back instead of a loop.

Trail is not well maintained on the way out with lots of mud and water puddles ... way back is easy. It was alright I would not do it again.
