Hiked this trail in summer of 2013. Steep 4 mile hike in but well worth it. We camped at lake #2 and fished mostly in lake #3. Caught a bunch of fish in each lake we tried. Campsites were nice and we only saw one other person at lake #3. Beautiful views of the valley at lake #2.

This is one of my standard warm-up hikes for the start of summer hiking season. Good to get acclimated to elevation gains.

Really awesome area to backpack to. Trail gets a little rough after second lake but its worth the climb. Beautiful lakes and good fishing. Small brown trout at upper lake bite like crazy. Nice area to set up camp right by the water, but does get a bit chilly at night as expected with the high altitude.

Trail was great it had it spots where it got tough but nothing you can't handle. Elevation was a killer after 2nd lake.

One of my favs in the Eastern Sierras. I know that a bold statement when there are so many great hikes to choose from but for a day hike, its the best. It didn't hurt that it is fall and the aspens were showing off at Tyee Lake #1 and #2. Didn't continue to #3 and #4 so I saved them for next time.
After you cross the short footbridge, well-marked switchbacks leads you to the first Tyee Lake at 2 miles and then another .5 mile is lake two. For the hike to all four lakes its an elevation gain of 2000 feet.

Hiked this trail from Sabrina to upper Tyee lake. Good hike with beautiful views of jagged peaks. The trail is fairly difficult to follow leading to george lake. (especially so if you do it in the dark!) First uploaded photo is of george lake, second photo is from the top of the trail climbin table mountain. Good fishing in both upper tyee and george lakes.
