Worth it for the lakes alone, especially Upper Twin, George, and Jewel. Ascending to Kaiser Peak from Jewel was quite difficult - scrambling here and there and at a few points the ridge probably wasn't more than 15 feet wide, including one point where I basically had to bust through some pines to continue. Definitely do the major ascent with a light daypack and be prepared to holster your trekking poles to scramble a few times. But Kaiser was still worth it for the views and fulfillment. I descended a different route down the well-defined Kaiser Loop Trail until a saddle where you turn left toward College Lake where a slight and easy-to-lose trail exists in places. Some scrambling here too although this might be a slightly better route to Kaiser than the Jewel route - hard to tell for sure because I looped them. All in all, the lakes are totally worth it but I would probably consider Kaiser from the other more common approaches in the future.
