Walked about 1/4 mile and came to a gate with a “No Trespassing” sign on it. Either this is an old trail and someone has bought the property, or I missed something. As an added bonus we were covered in ticks for or minimal time on the trail. I would not recommend wasting your time.

It’s a great walk if coming from Carillo but the No Tresspassing gate makes one go left on a trail that is a boulder scramble. Is the gate valid? It’s closed but not locked.

Great challenge in little time due to steep trails. Spectacular vitof the bird estuary and bay.

Not as easy as described. The majority if the trail is getting to the hill, along the base if Cerro Cabrillo and along an old packed service road. The climb up the actual hill is a scramble, there is erosion and wear on the trail. Not great views at the top. If you want to practice getting through boulder scramble without trying it at the top of a mountain, this is good
