A short hike to secluded Tunitas Beach. A bit muddy after rains and you have to cross the ankle deep creek at the beach, but such an awesome beach! Cliffs block the wind and there are small tide pools at the south end.

Tunitas is now a county park https://parks.smcgov.org/tunitas-creek-beach A couple park rangers came and (politely) kicked everybody off the beach before sunset. Seemed like they did it every (weekend?) day.

Really unable to discover by yourself ! Wild walk in the canyon below the road ! Beautiful creek !

Nice little trail to Tunitas Beach. It's much safer than the ropes off the bluffs farther down the highway. The trail follows Tunitas Creek and ends into a beautiful beach that doesn't get a lot of use. It use to be one of my dog's favorite places.
