Great trail, but it’s a about a 0.7 mile walk on a road if the gun range gate isn’t open. It didn’t open Wednesday from 9-3 that we were there.

Sweet walk along side Humboldt Bay. I like to go at high tide when the slough is filled up, it makes it more interesting to me. This trail leads out to a point with a bench and amazing bird watching. There’s also a loop into the dunes that will take your breath away if your into Pygmy forests and bio diversity. There’s often heaps of mosquitoes so wear appropriate attire. I’ve also paddled along this section and it’s awesome.

Nice little find today in my 2 day hiking venture in the Eureka area. Nice views of the marsh around Humboldt Bay. There were kayakers and paddle .boarders on the water. Might go back to finish the others tomorrow.
