What a neat and varied hike. Just perfect for kids to meander and explore the books and crannies. Make sure to take the few "spurs" for the best views. with those little side quests, the trail get bumped up another .5-.75 mi and another 100-150' of elevation gain. Bring your mask and respect the one way rule please - very narrow trail.

Easy but great little trail. Nice view from one of the vistas before the peak.

Good trail but a little disappointed at the view from the trail end. Stop off at the vista points before the trail end for the best views. Trail currently has a “one way” marker from the split on the road.

More of a nature walk than a hike, as a large portion of this trail is paved. Easy to follow and gorgeous views throughout. This is my favorite sunset hike in the area, as the views you get from the rocky portion at the top is unmatched! Can get crowded on the weekends, but usually not too bad. Every time I come back and visit I make it a point to come and hike this.

HikingOver grown

Sometimes this trail can be a bit over grown. However, it delivers amazing views of the ocean off the head that you wouldn’t otherwise get to see! A few small slightly steep sections.

It is not wheelchair or stroller friendly, if you have small kids, be careful because there is sheer cliff and also lots of rocks they could trip on. The views were gorgeous, and it was nice and quiet. However it’s currently (due to the virus) only one way, so upon entry you have to veer to the right and take the gravel path that is overgrown, narrow and has lots of overgrowth and roots and big rocks. It is NOT wheelchair friendly for the trail. The first hill yes. We did get to see some gorgeous views, the town, the bay and tried to spot some whales. There are multiple places to sit and take in the view, but it is overgrown with grass and weeds so you can’t see much.

Definitely a popular hike. However, worth it for the views of the ocean. Easy and a well kept trail, good for families.

great, quick hike. if heights don't bother you, take all the side trails you can find for some REAL views. I just wish there were more vistas, but really worth it for the length and the accessibility.

Very enjoyable trail with scenic views. The trial is well maintained and can be narrow at points. Take time to enjoy the stops. Easy for most..watch a few spots with roots and rocks.

It’s a well manicured and maintained trail. Limited elevation so I would agree that it is an easy trail. The “spur” trails offer a short jaunt to expansive lookout points. The only word of caution is to be aware of the time of day when you visit. It was clear near the bottom of the trail but as I approached the zenith of the hill, I was engulfed in fog and was unable to see anything. By the time I reached the end of the trail I looked up and noted clear skies where I once stood. I love the fact it is a loop which gives you a 365 degree point of view. If you’re in Trinidad, this trail is a “must walk”

The unpaved side was a bit overgrown in places but overall it was a great hike. There are plenty of benches along the way to rest and the breeze was nice and cool.

This is not an easy trail for people who find it hard to climb uphill. Half of the trail is going steadily uphill. If you don’t mind that you’ll encounter beautiful views.

This is a nice hike with great ocean views. I thought finding the trailhead was a little tricky. Heading toward the ocean on Trinity, turn right on Edwards and left on Bay (google maps calls it Lighthouse Road, but I think it said Bay Street). That will take you to the parking lot near the trail head. The trail is paved road and gravel. About ¼ of the way up, there is a dirt offshoot to the right, but stick on the road at this point. When you reach the cross monument, you can take the dirt path to the right, which will take you back down to the offshoot. The dirt path has great ocean views, benches and some short spurs to take. Unfortunately, the lighthouse is only open to the public on the first Saturday of the month and you can’t (at least we couldn’t) even see the lighthouse anywhere from the trail. Still, on a nice day, nothing beats the beautiful ocean views.

A great hike with amazing views. DO NOT go on this hike with the expectation of seeing the lighthouse unless you are there the first Saturday of the month. That is when they open the gate and access to the lighthouse is better.

Nice 45 minute loop trail with great ocean and harbor views. The working lighthouse is actually open for tours on the first Saturday each month, from 10-12! The grounds to simply view the lighthouse are open from sunup to sundown those days.
