Beautiful hike through the old growth forest.
Great short loop with a nice little falls and some spectacular coastal redwoods. Hiked in early November and only saw two other people the entire time.
This is a very beautiful trail I enjoyed very much during my Redwood national park trip 2 weeks ago. Very shady in a sunny hot day. The old grown redwood and ferns are the major plants in the trail. Like other viewers said, the fall wasn’t a big one, hopefully it gets fuller during winter. I got lost at the end of the trail and came out from a gate with a warning sign “beware of black bear”. I hiked along so it was a bit scary. do hike with a friend!
great trail for redwoods, shady and amazing spot. saw elk on way back.
decent trail. high grade at certain locations. well shaded tall trees. good walk
Moderate trail with stunning redwoods. Lightly trafficked.

Beautiful redwood trees! Not difficult - switchbacks with moderate incline and decline.

Awesome trees but just a trickle of a waterfall. The walk had decent elevation changes with switchbacks around the giants. Lovely way to spend a couple hours.
The area itself is impressive with the scenery but I did this small trail after doing the 12 mile loop of James Irvine trail and Miner's Ridge trail expecting a waterfall! What I got was the same scenery as the previous trail and a pathetic little stream of water running down a few rocks, real embarrassment to be called a waterfall!!!. Other than that the area is beautiful and I still did the loop and passed by the Elk viewing bridge to watch the Elk feeding in the open grass. I counted at least 20 Elk!
a beautiful hike, definitely on the higher end of moderate if you're new to trails and not in the perfect shape but doable. the falls are definitely small but pretty. while there is uphill no matter which way you start going the back way making the falls last is a longer gradual incline versus the direct route to the falls which is a shorter somewhat steep incline.
It's a stretch to call these falls. The rest of the trail is ok but not very rewarding.
Good trail with plenty of redwoods. Not the largest trees we saw but still a nice hike and convenient location.
This was a pretty easy little adventure through the forest! The falls are quite small in comparison to what we are used to but, still beautiful nonetheless. Make sure you do the full loop around. You can truly appreciate how massive these trees really are, when you do the entire loop! Watch out for the banana slugs! I had one stuck to my hand.. good luck washing that slime off! Haha
Our favorite hike in the park! If you have time for one hike, would recommend doing this hike over the tall trees hike as you get to see epic trees without having to travel out of your way on gravel roads.
we really enjoyed the plants. We missed the Elk on the day we went, but the rest was fantastic. The falls were very small, but we still enjoyed the plants and trees.
A truly great hike that really demonstrates what Redwood has to offer. The falls themselves are beautiful but on the small side, but the trail takes you through very dense underbrush and what felt like a true temperate rainforest. I did the Cathedral Loop as well and felt that Trillium Falls much better shows the beauty and power of the Redwoods.
fairly easy hike with lots of large trees. waterfall is more of a stream that is trickling down a few feet. but overall it was a wonderful hike

Lots of nice redwoods. The waterfall was small
This is a five star trail, and the waterfall is nice, but should not be emphasized as the highlight of the trail. This trail had nice hills climbing up and down through the forest, so we had many views of the Redwoods and the ferns and the valleys; really beautiful and very pleasant overall.
This was a very leisurely hike with lots of fun exploration to get lost in. If you want to take photos of BIG trees, this is the best place with the easiest access. There's also a small waterfall mid-way where you get to cross the bigger of many wooden bridges on this trail.
Overall amazing trail! Lots of sites such as the waterfall and foliage, also heard many elk and woodpeckers. Actually such a wonderful area because you drive right through elk Prairie and there’s all kinds of trails that either start, and or meet right here. There’s plenty of directional signs and large well kept bathrooms, benches, and a large area to picnic.

Absolutely stunning views of large redwood and sequoia. Easy hike. Only took so long because we stopped to look at every beautiful tree.
We only walked to the Trillium Fall and then came back, but it was still amazing and beautiful. Spent awhile there taking pictures. Very pretty and a nice walk just to the falls and back.

Easy and beautiful!
Really pretty, easy trail with great views of the redwoods. We were the only ones on the trail.
Well marked, easy to find. No one on the trail. Elk nearby. A few benches to rest along the way, very peaceful.
waterfall is mothing grand but the trailer is pretty. Saw some elk. I cycled it.
beautiful trail, the falls are gorgeous. Mile markers would be nice for first timers. Watch your time in the winter PM. Quite a few signs of sasquatch.
