Beautiful, easy, needs a little more trail markers, definitely need GPS to know where you are going.

Mountain bikingGreat!

this was very fun. might be an easy hike but pretty challenging at moments on a bike. there were five of us as young as 11 on decent bikes and as I said it was hard but it was very fun. we went up to the left and came down the other and i can't imagine doing it the other way. according to some signage we may have needed to purchase park pass in the window

There are better trails in the area for how much work this was but if you just want to get in the woods then it is not as busy as the others.

This is an awesome trail that offers many beautiful views. When we went there was a fire in Beaumont and we got a gnarly view of the smoke. Beautiful views of Big Bear as well. We did get mixed up on the path a few times and ended up going on he opposite way on the loop, which I would actually suggest! Overall an awesome hike with a few good hills to get your heart pumping! Would recommend. Plus not very many people which is impressive for Big Bear during the weekend.

Beautiful nature walk. Not a ton of people but watch for mountain bikes. Not at all strenuous but a couple of hills and dips. A great choice if you’ve got little kids or dogs

Loved this trail. Not tough at all, but I could feel the elevation and took my time to enjoy the views. Especially quite on the trail considering Big Bear is packed today. I saw a few mountain bikers and a couple of hikers.

It was a great trail, lots of shade but lots of bugs, there’s a little water fountain where you can fill up your water bottles with ice cool mountain water ! (: be sure to be checking the GPS, got lost a couple times or missed the turning points often.

Trail was somewhat tricky to find, but once we figured it out it was easy going from there. Lots of wildflowers and birds, with some water features. I enjoyed myself.

Loved this trail. While it doesn't have the views of nearby Castle Rock trail it does have beautiful lake views. It also doesn't have the dozens of people Castle Rock has, we only saw three people on the entire loop. There is plenty of shade and a great view of San Gorgonio at the top.

Last road to get there (dirt) had a decent amount of potholes, and rocks so drive slow. You need GPS for the trail. There are blue marking on the trees that help but then there was a portion where the blue markings split from the trail. Overall I was hoping for more views of the lake or mountains. There are only a couple vista views along the hike, the rest was views of the forest (still pretty just to set expectations).

Very hard to find trail to get started. About half way through the trail disappears ended up having to walk the 2N10 home. If you have a satellite version of the map you’re good to go but otherwise I don’t recommend talking this trail as if you’re unexperienced you WILL get lost no doubt. Beautiful hike if you know what you’re doing though.

Great trail with a good view of big bear lake and mountain ranges. Very peaceful when we went. One turn wasn't marked with a sign and we strayed offtrail a bit. It had two poles with white tips.

Nice easy trail. Took my parents who are visiting from Tennessee. Quite a few bugs but not too bad. You do have to follow the GPS a lot. The mapped trail doesn’t show all the sharp twists and turns of the trail that you walk on, so just keep that in mind. Make sure not to miss the beautiful views of San G and San Bernardino peaks from the top!

Coming from an area in CA where its nothing but brown and dead rolling hills 90% of the year, the scenery was absolutely breath taking. I did this trail counter clock wise (forest section first) and have no regrets. Not used to hiking in a forest so admittedly i was a little bit shook but felt a lot more relaxed on the last half. There wasn't a soul on the entire trail. As others stated, finding the actual trail from the entrance was semi-tricky.. had to use my phones GPS and hope i had service. I would definitely do again.

A nice quiet walk in the woods. Didn’t see another person on a Wednesday. Running spring water at the start of the trail. Recommend doing Plantation side first and proceeding in a counter clockwise manner for trail finding. Trick or Treat side seems much steeper. Lots of pine and manzanita. Recommend doing a couple spur trails to Skyline at the top for the views. Trail seems recently cleared, bushes trimmed. Nice hike.

Hiked this trail today. While a nicely shaded trail it is very poorly marked requiring me to use my GPS constantly to avoid getting turned around. The trail is intertwined with a mountain bike trail and back roads so stay aware. Overall a nice trail but there are better ones out there eg Cougar Crest, Pine Knot, Castle Rock.

Lovely trail! Agree with a previous review to use GPS for the first .2mi or so. It’s straight forward after that. Gorgeous views, without being too scary (for those of us who are nervous about heights)

I would recommend this trail it is shady at some spots, for the most part very fun the view point is awesome ! The beginning isn’t very definitive for the route into Trick or Treat but you’ll see it if you kind of follow your GPS.
