Steam trail and west ridge were pretty crowded, possibly because of the three day weekend. Tres sendas looks great green!

Great way to get out for a short break from the city! Wide, busy but not crowded trail with lots of options for longer or shorter outings.

My new favorite trail. Quite shaded, with glimpses of sunlight even in the lower parts of hike. Definitely will be crowded on hot days. I didn’t push the pace nor take many stops and did the three miles in 1h34m. Steep and rocky incline returning on the southern part of the trail after turning off of Stream trail, narrow but well marked. Not sure I’d want to start that way though, on the part of the trail that would get most muddy and tricky after rains.

I took a detour to lengthen my hike. Lovely trails, didn’t encounter a single mountain biker. Easy to social distance except near the staging areas.

A major section of this trail is closed. Review our recording to see the route we took - it ended up being a very steep, uphill hike. Great for building your stamina but more on the moderate-to-difficult scale.

This was a nice trail. It was more easy than moderate for the first 2 miles or so. It got better (slightly more challenging) in the last mile. The trees were magnificent!!

A wonderful loop in my favorite local park, but I walk/shuffle/jog here at least once a month, and have been nipped at by dogs offleash often enough that I realized it was likely they were detecting evidence of my cat. Still, it happens often enough that weekends in Redwood on the ridge single tracks can be less than fun. Negative Nelly! Leash your dogs, they should not be our problem.
