Nice easy trail with moderate incline on way out on fire road. Pretty views on the way up. Started out about 6:45am and finished before 9:30. Not many people on way out than on way back but plenty of space on the road to share. Most wearing mask.

HikingGreat!No shade

Moderate trail, very few people hiking for a Sunday, easy parking on Michael Lane. We missed the cutoff to the peak because we were engaged in conversation, and continued hiking well past it. Not a lot of shade, so wear sunscreen!

Nice trail, went on a Tuesday afternoon. Only saw a handful of people, plenty of space to social distance. Weather was amazing. A great option to try and avoid crowds.

This is a nice trail - wide fire road that is good for social distancing. If you go early, you’ll have a little shade on the way up, but other than that, there is no shade so be sure to wear sunscreen. If you use google maps, it will try to take you down Palisades Ct to get to the trailhead which is a gated road. Park on Michael Ln to access the trailhead. The only downside is that the AllTrails route doesn’t take you to the actual Temescal Peak. To get to the actual peak, take the Backbobe Trail which veers off right where the AllTrails route ends. This little stretch is narrow and a bit overgrown, but is probably less than 1/4

Love this hike. Great for social distancing. But that last short path up to temescal peak is very overgrown. Luckily I was wearing long tights. But the view is very worth it!

Easy hike up fire road. Got there early and we passed a few people, but not overcrowded at all. Nice views of ocean through a small valley. Also, a good view of LA on a clear day.

I would call this easy to moderate in terms of incline. It wasn’t flat enough to run, but had to keep a pretty fast walking pace to keep my heart rate up. Could definitely be good for beginners at a slower pace. Perfect incline to run all the way down. I didn’t have enough time or water to do more than 6.2 miles out and back. No shade and very little breeze, so be prepared with hat, sunscreen, and water. Almost all wide fire road so easy to social distance. I saw zero other people on the trail, but I went Monday at 12pm. A couple of overgrown areas but all soft brush - I was fine in knee-length tights and tank top. Great views, nice wildflowers. Would definitely do this again, especially given how empty it was compared to a lot of other westside hikes.

I connected this to eagle rock and made it a loop trail. Really fun, not super challenging just a enough!
